Thanks Oli. Yes it is HDRI lighting.I will play with water later on, once everything is in place. At moment the file is getting big and I am not sure if I am going to postprocess plants or have them rendered. πŸ˜‰ I can share the grass no probs...let me know how.

say, care to share the skp of those lilly pads?
I'm actually surprised at how nice LU looks... i still think i'll stick to podium or vray, but not bad.

Pile footings for a residence? Very rare in my part of the world. Must have added substantial cost to the project.

Opps, came here from the first post, didn't see the water:-)

              Thanks for the comments.
Troyhome I can't really share the water lilly model as that is part of the Solo pack which BTW is worth every penny purchasing.
LightUp is quite easy to use and as I said elswhere the strength comes in real time performance and endless number of stills. I supose one needs more soft in arsenal for different tasks and yes Podium, LightUp and Vray are all in my arsenal.

Thanks Roberto...Still need to add bumps on the water and other little tweaks. Here is different tonemapping of the same Podium image, less contrast and less light.

More LightUp. I am trying to develop postprocess which seats between NPR and PR, kind of both.

Thank you Daniel . I was starting to think they do not look any good as nobody was commenting on them. πŸ˜‰

So, how do you like LightUp? How does it compare to Podium? I keep meaning to try it, but my to-do list is longer than the hours in a day.

I like LIghtUp. One can make stills and animation. Adam is doing excellent job in moving software forward. It is still early in development but it has a lot of potential.
You can't really compare LightUp with any other render engines as it is unique. It employs game technology. If you Google Adam you will see where his background comes from.

Mate you are doing well at that!

You really are showing off the strength of LightUp here! I might get into it from your inspirations! Might look for some tips from you too!

You are getting a bit of a repeat on the siding there mate! To over come this in such a simple scene is to divide the panel a bit and move the tiling around - you only need to do it 2 or 3 times and it's sweet!

BTW is the workflow fairly simple?

Thanks mate. It is great compliment coming from you πŸ˜„

You should try it. It is quite easy soft to go with. Image lighting is very good. You have several choice of blend. I find linear goes well with interiors (better ambient) and IBL goes best with exteriors.
At moment the power of sun is not controllable but I believe it will come in next version.
Also, slightly confusing, material editor stores relative values of bump, specular and reflection. The absolute values will come in next version, which makes more sense. Nice thing about it is that mat editor is real time and you can either use slider or maps. The bump is based on normal maps (better quality) or in absence of that bump maps would be used.
Lighting is either, sun, omni or area lights.
Animation is quite straight forward. You press record and move about and when had enough stop. At moment the files are huge as they are not compressed, so hopefully some sort of compression feature will be implemented. Camera is nice. Movement feels like real camera with parking.
Also you can save pano images with one click.
There is also possibility to save .fbx files for export of lighting to other software. I have not played with it but I hear works well with Maya and Unity.
Feel free to ask mate. If I do not know the answer than Adam will πŸ˜‰
The workflow is quite simple. The imager quality is good. Still renders are .tiff and allows for a lot of post process without killing the image.

I agree the mapping needs to be tweaked and also corner joint is missing. πŸ˜„
