      Dear Didier,

I barely speak a word of French, but this thread seems to refer to the possibility of sharing models between AutoDesk's Inventor and Sketchup. Is that correct? I can move models from Inventor to Sketchup, but not the other way.

      Regards,
      Bob

          Dear Matt,

If you are using AutoDesk's Inventor, then you probably have AutoCAD too (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=4246282). I am using Inventor 2009.

I export the model from Inventor as a .sat file. I then import it into AutoCAD (as a .sat file), scale up by x 100 (depends on the smallest feature size), and export as a .dwg file. I then import it into SU as a .dwg file.

Sometimes it doesn't work very well (missing faces), but most times it does.

          Hope this helps.

          Regards,
          Bob

Hi watkins! Thank you for your answer!
So, you must have AutoCAD to convert .SAT to .DWG... Hum, it's a little bit hard... I don't have AutoCAD! I know I could post my file and someone could convert it, but I want to have smt more "light"... 😉

              Dear Matt,

If you send me the Inventor file I will try and convert it for you.

              Regards,
              Bob

                    Cher Matt,

                        Voilaaaa !
