Nice work Eric. Are you using any light sources other than GI? Have you tried any HDRI's for lighting? It will bring an image to life right quick.

I ought to do another with a couple large fingers coming in from the side to move the furniture. That or put them in a dollhouse. -
Try messing with the camera angle. That can tend to make things look bigger or smaller.
