Watercolor Style House

Hi Everyone,
Inspired by a few watercolor styles I saw in this topic lately We decided to have a go at it. I really like the result. Feedback is very welcome as usual.

very nice, but to me it looks more like Impasto or Acrylic on Canvas rather that Water color. IMHO

You're right I was searching for a good description in english. Lets say its an Artsy Style . I forgot to mention that it's Sketchup and Photoshop. Could this be good enough for a portofolio?

By all means. I mean, it depends on your audience. As an architect, I would be interested in a tad more detail, but if it's strictly and art piece. .. i think it's fine.
I would play with incorporating some line work back in to give it a "drawn" effect and put back some of the detail that was lost. But that's just me.

I personally don't like it as it still looks computer generated and I certainly wouldn't put it in a portfolio. I also agree about the lack of detail, I think it needs more. I've yet to see a Photoshop filter that I like without a lot of additional post processing. Nothing beats an actual hand drawn image but some of the 'Dennis effect' efforts from the past have come close. I would look up some old threads on this and the Google forum for examples.

I think it might work better if the side of the house is rendered a slightly different shade to the front. Also maybe if you limit the canvas effect and add a gaussian blur on an adjustment layer it will look more natural.
edit, I have had a play, but this doesn't really achieve it, I think you need to start with the original exported image.
