New Woodworking models uploaded

In the interest of sharing, I have recently uploaded many of my drawings into the 3D Warehouse in the collection named "Creekside Woodshop". I have also updated my web site "CreeksideWoodshop.Com" with the same drawings as well as several renderings for each of the drawings. Here's an example of a Secretary Desk that I built several years ago and just got around to drawing it in SketchUp. Ron

I have only had a quick look but what I saw leads me to believe that model and you others are very well made.

Thanks, all of my models are built using components and drawn in detail and the same as if you were working with wood in the shop. The only thing missing is the sawdust.

So are mine, we are what I term as "complete" modelers, the other type is "surface" modelers. There is also "hybrid" modelers that are somewhere in between, they will model the woodwork but the entire drawer is one piece instead of 5.

I have just looked at your model. A most excellent example of a what a craftsman can do with skill and imagination. The attention to detail is superb, and the textures are nicely applied. A model to be proud of.

Thanks all for your comments, they are well appreciated. Hazza, I never thought of the term “surface vs. complete modelers”, but you are correct. When I first started to use SketchUp I was a surface modeler and was happy just to be able to draw and view something in 3D vs 2D. Now I find more value in using a complete 3D drawing to build furniture from than a 2D drawing. I don’t draw anything in 2D anymore.
