Green Toaster's Car Sketches

. . . another quick sketch - what else, eh . . . this one is in what I call "Concept phase 3" . . . needs lots of more work & development, but you can get the general idea - I hope . . . it's hard to believe this thread has over 25K hits - when will it end?
Happy Sketching,
Brad

. . . I don't get much time for lunch, but here's one I did yesterday . . . the crunchy peanut butter and raisin sandwich was good . . .

-
Almost a month without a post? What's wrong with me? Grad school, that's it.

Here's another super-quicky concept sketch, nothing special . . . I really miss being able to use SketchUp!
Happy Sketching,
Brad

long time dude glad your back on!

Another model!
I canβt understand how you can keep producing design after design. Although many share similar body shape, there are tonnes of them! If youβre like me, you would keep a repository of models, yours must be over the top.
If you have any spare time feel free to check out some of my latest models:
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?viewer=02629758583829625845&scoring=dI have been a little more active with SU lately and will be for a while
Once again...

-
I've spent the last hour and half going through this thread and I couldn't come up with a single excuse why I never bothered to check this out before. I really like your method. First off you start with a shape, and then it gets better, and better, and better...
So far I got to page 39 and I'm really impressed.

Thanks - coming from you, that's a very nice compliment - encouraging.. . . here's a quick sketch/idea for the nose shape . . .

-
. . . another quicky . . .

-
the wheels could be a tiny bit bigger but thats just me.

-
. . . found this one in the archives - I have several dozens of these things - never got past a certain stage before I ditched the sketch and moved on . . . I must stay out of my archives - I use four computers - each has a bucket full of these things - someday I will gather them all together and flush them down the digital toilet . . .
Happy Sketching,
Brad

-
. . . sketch for the day . . .
-
. . . this was too ugly . . . almost blinded me - had to delete them . . .

Hy Mr. G ..nice to hear something for u.
U do have a unique style and u really don t what to try something new..maybe time doesn t let u to improve ur cars ..i realize that adding details to a car makes it a lot better and that s what is missing on your cars..and of course details need attention and lot of time..but u said it right sketchfor the day cause they are like sketches and this is what Sketchup is made for

Happy sketching!Elisei

Time is a problem for me - I am in school, getting my Master's degree and this takes lots of my "after work" time. Then, there's the wife - she want's me to cut the grass, paint the house, wash her SL65 AMG, shampoo her poodles, walk her poodles, feed her poodles, brush her poodles, . . . you get the idea . . .
-
pretty hard to have no time cause u would sure do some nice cars

P.S Btw i spoted ur wifes car and i took a picture(hope she dont mind)

Wrong color - her's is red. She sometimes lets me drive it - not often.
I wonder if my cars would look better if I added lots of cool details and then rendered them . . . ? . . .

Yes please.

Sorry BLANK, but this isn't going to happen any time soon - I'm back in Graduate school, building a Venom Creeper, writing a research paper, cutting grass - plus, I still have wifey's cars to take care of and let's don't mention her poodles . . .
-
Well, then leave the rendering to us! We promise to do a good job.
-
. . . okay, then please, by all means, go for it . . . this is definitely NOT the "last revision" . . . but have fun . . . and THANKS . . . perhaps this will inspire me (once again) to take these models a bit further into the next level . . .
. . . no apologies for my really crappy, ultra-quick sketch . . .
. . . this one doesn't have the tail lights in it . . . oops . . . that version is at work and I am NOT going there this week (spring break) . . . happy sketching, Brad
