Rogue's W.I.P's!

just wondering how you do those environments in those renders? how do you get the ground to be under the car with the hdri?
-
Here is another model encase you havenāt seen it already
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=d25584d554d3736eb86212fe7a90e1bf&prevstart=0
Itās a performance version of my G-R V8
I hope to see some mods (hint, hint)I am going to have a break from SU for a little while. I havenāt been getting much done on y models and I need to clear my head if I want to get things in perspective.
I am getting a new Force Feedback racing wheel so Iāll occupy myself with GT4 for a while... -
You'll need the break . If you stay away from SU for a while, your progress will be better when you come back. Don't know why, but it just works.
If I get back to modelling, I'll work on the G-R V8 R. I guess it'll either be a coupe or ute. I already did a tuned sedan and I try not to recycle ideas. But for now, I'll stick to uploading my finished models.
An awkward situation. I've found out that someone gave my GT-B a 1 star. I thought: Oh, ok. Another troll. But then I came across the "troll's" models and found out that he/she makes decent stuff. Hmm... That same person down-rated my two other models. Weird.
-
I canāt wait to what you do with the model
I have noticed that person too, itās that ((( Ä°LKE ))) person. Apparently the F__k tard is friends with some other person who doesn't like you for some reason.
I don't care for it; he/she he-she is just another weird retard in the warehouse. There seems to be a lot of them and I can't see why. -
another spammer? and i thought TheWhatever Was enough....
I wish the warehouse was like it was in '06, almost no spammers, and 99.9% of the stuff wasnt stolen, almost no bad ratings....
-
lol yeah that was one of the reasons why i left da warehouse. Same reason most of the awsome modelers left too
-
hey rogue, I love your renders! I'd like to make some cars and do some like them, but i'm at a loss at how you get the environment under the car (the cars cast shadows on it), what program do you use to do that? vray?
-
I use fryrender to make my renders but I just model a ground in the same model as my car in SketchUp. Just make sure its all level with the axis an is set to recieve shadows etc

frisken you should try using hypershot thats what i use for my cars. Give it a try, it is very good wit hdr images
-
How much does hypershot cost Ray and where should I go exctly.
-
http://www.bunkspeed.com/hypershot/ you can get the trial the full version is 2grand i think.
-
who the hell would pay 2 grand for a rendering program
-
-
maybe you can go for car design as a carrier
-
you mean career right?
-
Oh, one more thing....
I havenāt been very active in SU lately and wonāt be for a little while longer, as I stated before.
I am just planning on finishing and uploading my current projects and maybe some others and thatās it for me. I donāt know how long I will be gone from SU and whether I will be back at all but I won't be far.SketchUp doesnāt seem to be what I want to be doing at the moment, I feel I should be concentrating on other things instead, career maybe.
This isn't my final farewell. Itās more of a, "I'll be saying, āsee ya later, soon".

Well, good luck with that. I'm thinking of dropping out temporarily next year. That's because I'll be taking IGCSE exams a year from now. And I don't think I should risk that opportunity.
So there we go, the Warehouse will end up being a Fortress of Suck...

Here is my latest wheel
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=515ab6d7f6215fc3340f95122cf6726I have created a screen recording of this, all that is left now is turning 92 minutes (811MB) worth of video into a 10 minute tutorial...
-
Wohohoo That's insane man. Are you using Vegas Pro 8 for the video?
