The floor isnt tiling because its a good texture. I cant remember where i got it, but i'll upload it if you like.

The light was a very simple material:
power 30
overall luminous efficacy 50
tempreature 6000this is in indigo 1.0.9 btw.

i'd maybe remove the skirting, or make it the color of the walls... great scene tho

I had a previous version with no skirting but it looked to bare (ha).
I might try lightening it as you suggested, though, as it doesnt look right at the moment.
