Just to let you all know I will be gone for a few weeks, maybe more.
I’m getting my computer checked out by Toshiba and it may be gone for a few weeks or longer. I ma getting my HDD replaced and a full hardware check.
Don’t expect a reply to any messages you send for at least that time but when I come back I should be more active here than ever before.
-
Well, I am able to get on another computer every now and again so I can still post every few days.
Here are a few models I will make from the next Cobra.
These are only to give a rough idea of what it will look like, inface the Maverick set I used to model the last one.
They are only quick blueprints so they are a bit crude, especially the Cougar.
Please don't re-use them or model from them, if you wish to edit them to show me variants pleas only upload them to this topic.I hope you like them
-
i like your sketch style very technical
-
Thanks for noticing that they are just sketches. I'll clean them up a bit nad make them more accurate once I finish the models
-
Resembles a mustang a bit doesnt it?

Well, yes.....Thats what it is.
The Mercury Cougar was built from the same model year Mustang and the Maverick was a small version of the Mustang.
Thats why Ford should make the Cougar again. They already have the Mustang to build from and it would be a great model to boost the Mercury range.

I've been working on some wheels lately and I thought it might be time to (place Obama reference here). I noticed that you make wheels using a 100-faced circle . What I did is double the standard amount to 48. I could try 96, but size is an issue.
Here's an example I did for Alex's Viper:
![Everything except for the brake pads and the disk vents were "enhanced"](/uploads/imported_attachments/ENwC_2.png "Everything except for the brake pads and the disk vents were "enhanced"")
And yes, first attempt. -
Yo Shams,
WTF MAN
So cool, So good, So pro style! Im busy with this:
Ferrari Tipo 500 F2 ( Old ferrari Racer )Just started with the wheels caus theyre the most important thing of that car.
Butta, after seeing your 46 circle.. mmm Intressting. I might start all over again but after im finished with this wheel. -
Its good to see people talking about wheels for once. I have been making them for ages now and people only seem interested in the next car, usually my wheels hint towards that as I also try to make my wheels first or when I get stuck in a model (yes I often get stuck)
Any way, that Viper wheel is looking great, very detaild and clean.
I often use 100 sides because I usually make 5 spoke wheels and I cant be bothered making a new tyre for every one.@fioranojc said:

It looks interesting but I think I'll just try to stick with the 5's I know. The Ford inspired ones.
Also feel free to catch up on my image uploads on my website

I did try to make a video tutorial using this complicate wheel but it took 4 hours and I didn’t have enough space to store the large file on my HDD...
It was recorded in HD.I also ran into quite time consuming problems so it turned out a mess.
I will still try to make a video tutorial next time I make a wheel or if I could figure out a good way to, a SketchUp tutorial.

Just a little update on the Cobra, no images this time (under wraps)
Work on base model
-Interior started and it is going well, a few complications but looking good
-Exterior still not finished, underbody just started-Estimated total poly's: 100,000-ish
