New Policy for Posting Scripts
-
Partly due to the outrage expressed in this thread, I've decided to dis-allow posting of other people's scripts.
A script author needs to be able to control which version of the script is available. It can be confusing for readers when scripts are posted multiple times.

Too heavy handed maybe? The following is more aligned with my original intent - which I now wish I had taken more time to compose.
In order to avoid confusion, to keep the forum tidy, and to protect the rights of authors; we ask that people refrain from posting materials for which they do not have permission to distribute.

Oh either way I think is great. How ticky tack do we get on the license language of each cript though? I suppose technically anyone could re-post a TON of scripts here because so many scripts say that they can be re-distributed and modified as long as attribution is given to the original author and the distribution is not for profit. So I guess that language is what makes it ok to post groups of scripts here with new icons or something, as long as its not posted for profit. Is that about right?

Some sort of solution can be found for sure. I have translated two scripts so far (into Hungarian) but it was dealt with in PM's. On top of all one being commercial so I couldn't even have posted it in public )although it was simple hztml for the webdialog which is not secret).
