[SP2] 2 axes problem
-
Hello,
I have a problem with animating a windmill in 2 directions.
When I turn on the motor of the blades, the head of the windmill will spin unwanted around the servo axes, due to the movement of the blades. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
But with the ability to use the servo, so it's possible to turn the head of the windmill in any direction, with out effecting the movement of the blades.
I.e. I want to spin both axes independently from each other.

Thanks in advance
Ps. The model is not created by myself.

I took a look at your model, detached and reattached the servo and the motor and end up having the same problem you described. I think the issue may be with the mass of the blades. Sometimes SP behaves strangely when modeled parts are "too big" or "too small".
Hopefully someone else can check it out and come up with a solution for you.

For starters the model is very big. Something that massive is kinda on the edge of what SP can do. Expect things that large to behave unexpectedly.
Also the model itself seems to have some critical inaccuracies. The blades don't seem to be balanced. That's whats causing the wobbling.
But if you make the motors and servo strong enough it will work better. For the motor try Accel=15 Damp=100. Servo Accel=700 Damp=10000

Okay thanks, it works great
