      Hello:

I was recommended to post here with this scripting question.

One of the most difficult things I am dealing with is the Drape command.
Is anyone aware of a way to drape entities to a sandbox/model, but have those entities keep it's original layer? or be able to specify the layer it will become? I'm sure this would alleviate many a person's headaches.

Draping to model is an excellent tool, but I haven't found out how to take the draped entitiy and THEN select that entity alone and closed it /make a face of it.

I guess as I brainstorm it further, a drape and make face script could accomplish the same objective.

As for workarounds thus far my research as only come up with... the following

Making a face/ push/pulling it/ Intersect with model, then erasing the faces above and below the model...That's very intense, and frustrating when working with complex models.

      Many thanks, in advance.
