Thank you! I might finish this one and render it but I doubt it because that would take time away from the other (important) parts of my life.
I was doing very good to have barely enough time to squeeze this one in - it was a very busy weekend and this upcoming week doesn't look any better - no more time for fun . . . er, I mean no time for developing my SketchUp skills.

Here's an image showing a technique I finally figured out which has helped me define shapes rather quickly and with lots of control. The red stripe coming around the "corner" of the front end of the car was created using two planes to define a 3D path, then I used a 3 sided section (5 actually with 2 later removed) with the Follow Me tool. The stripe down the center of the car has nothing to do with this technique but I thought it might look good (ha). As always, the car is symmetrical left to right, so only half is actually shaped.
It's a nice technique to have available when you need it - as long as it's not "overdone." I'll post a tutorial if anyone's interested in seeing how I do this but I'm sure it can be done better, quicker, more artistic by others.

Thanks - I'm not very good at this - very much hit & miss, more miss than hit.

It's the best tut ever shown about the method of the spirit of nurbs creation directly used inside the process
I can't say more about the subjectps I don't know puffed cheese despite the fact that I am living in Cheesland!

I was almost sure I saw a package of NURBS at the store the other day - right next to the wood screws on the fasteners aisle - must have been something else I guess.

Nope, blender doesnt do NURBS in any meaningful way.
As pilou has been suggesting, id check out MoI for a good introduction ot modelling with NURBS.
p.s. apparently the UK has more regional cheeses than france, strange stuff, i know.

I just did that - I qualify for the educational version, not bad at $100, eh?
I hope my boss will reimburse me for it - if not, I'll just have to pay for it myself - no biggie. Thanks for the tip - I look forward to using it.

Blender has nurbs but not yet powerful!
They have in project to increase the power of it for the next versions

I must not be a monk - thus far, I haven't found Blender to be very easy to learn, but I'm not very smart.
I will be downloading the 30 day version of MOI next week - I'm finishing a semester of graduate school and I don't need the distraction right now.
