Project Home Booklet
-
This has been a fun project that I thought I would share!
The commission included rebranding of corporate image name and logo for a builder who had dropped their project home side for some years, the reworking of a few of their original designs and the creation of some new ones. Also included was the creation of their range names, exterior styling and marketing copy and material.
I first presented the idea of a 300 x 300 booklet that I felt presented best but they opted for the bigger full A3 size for client presenation, though since completed they have asked how long and at what cost could we revert to my original format proposed. Some people just cant be told!
These images are firstly my original proposal (image compiled from individual page images - the internal and external renderings aren't the real ones just used for demonstration) and secondly their prefered page layout, even though I didn't get my way (which always gets my back up), it was still a fun project!

I ended up with 17 rendered facades out of this project. the client added a new floor plan this week based upon one of the prvious frontages. Luckily I had saved the MXI file and the material ID image. This meant I could open the MXI and adjust with the multilight feature to change the internal / external lighting and easily mask the materials in PS to create further variation to the facade to establish a new look in just minutes.
Mate I have to say the multilight feature of maxwell really is the one feature that keeps me drawn to it!
The client wants an animation (slideshow style) for their website now and have convinced them to spring for a few night > day fades meaning with the rendered MXI saved I can pull up the rendering at anytime and change them. Must admit this was the first time I realise the lighting in the saved MXI could still be edited with multilight!

Exactly mate! SU - modelling, Maxwell - rendering, photoshop - post edit of rendering, MS word - compilation!
Thanks to all for positive comments!

Very sharp, professional presentation, Richard. I'm curious, though, why you included an interior rendering of the lavatory. I would think potential clients would be more interested in seeing the living spaces.

Sorry mate the interiors are just photos of the builders recent houses. The photo's they gave me were so bad that out of about 40 I could use 4.
Btw mate I think we all think that the living area is what most want to see but most agents will suggest that the woman buys the house and want to see the kitchen and the bathroom.
I think the kitchen can be well demonstrated across the living area giving view of both.
Would like to have seen the client spring for internal renderings though with the package including 17 externals they wanted to keep the total cost down at this stage!

Wow nice job Richard.
One question - did you draw the plans in SU to ?
