is there any script i can get where the lines can easily connected to create surface. i imported a plan from CAD and i cant get some of the surface. its really wasting my time! is there a solution for this?

If you go to smustard theres a script called makefaces that should do what you want.

At smustard.com, there are several SketchUp Ruby scripts that work together to clean up CAD drawings:

Makefaces
StrayLines
ExtendCloseLines
DeleteShortLines
IntersectOverlaps
CloseOpens

and for all of them you also need ProgressBar.rb
