    Hi there,

I use Allplan to create models with more complex windows etc., and then like to apply materials in SK......Allplan offers the export formats DWG, DFX, VRML and 3DS

    • DWG's explode the model beyond recognition into single 3D lines and surfaces.

    • 3DS's exports the model nicely but plonks the entire model onto a single layer which is very inconvenient.

does anybody know of another file format or any tricks to overcome this and import 3D models into SK complete with their original layer settings?

    Any input appreciated

    Cheers

    David
