"Gee Dylan, I am surprised you would post such a horrible model" Daniel said jokingly, as he admired Dylan's model.

            Dylan,

            Really nice elegant model!

If you feel like sharing I'd love to know the major steps in the process you went through to create it.

I will share it after I have finished it.

My basic steps involved starting with a single helical line which was the path of the bridge at the correct levels.
I copied this to a width of 3 metres and used skin.rb. I did try follow me but as you would expect, by the time it reached the opposite side it had rotated so much.
I then used Joint Push Pull to give me the 10mm thickness of the walkway.
I needed a small upstand on the sides for which I used extend lines ruby, then JPP to give thickness.
There is a 300mm central spine beneath the bridge for which I used Offset from Surface.rb, followed by JPP 😍
The balustrade was various components rotated into position then used copy along path ruby.
It weas my first time using this script and at first I was struggling to get things following this path. It was all down to correctly setting the axis in the component. If you ever use it and you do not get things following the path correctly, then change the components axis.
All the cables and handrails were done with Tubealongpath.rb

I have never really been a big user of rubies, but recently I have had my eyes opened to their importance, especially with all the new amazing additions that have happened recently and are still coming πŸ‘

A small update showing the bridge in context.
I wanted to keep the detail down at this early stage with some basic massing and not much colour.

The buildings behind with green glass were not modelled by me. These are from the Architects who designed the buildings which are currently being constructed.

Very nice Dylan. I think it would be nice if you could make tutorial out of this.
