Ok, well lightup and podium would be cool, although theyre not very ruby.

TIGs roof script would be cool as well, and perhaps zorro.

If I may suggest 'Cutlist and Materials'.

Very useful for generating quantites/sizes/materials lists of all sorts of items for construction drawings(cabinets, bricks, wall panels, joists, and so on) and if combined with 'Select by layer' is very quick and easy to generate seperate lists of different items.

Also has a nice interface with options for output in a variety of formats.

I have to say I use may other rubys and nothing compares to Whaat's "subdivide and smooth"!

I do not mean to take away from other ruby's, all of them are great! It is just that Whaat's ruby will change the way people model within Sketchup.

OK, I have looked at the Smustard and Ruby Depot Library websites and can't seem to find this Ruby script.
Can you provide a link to download from?
                          Thanks.

Ignore this post, i have just seen in a different thread (dated april 21st 2008) that Whaat estimates this will be available in 10 days.

Don't forget "windowizer" one of the first most powerful scripts created.I use it all the time in architecture. It has other uses as well.

Anssi did not forget it just above you a few paces πŸ˜‰

Ones I use quite a bit and could be mentioned are:
                                  Mirror
                                  Remove all materials
                                  Purge
                                  SPT Copy (for making tuts)

This is of course in addition to all the greats already mentioned.

Thanks everyone. This is all good input. I think you've all helped me pick my short list, but will be prepared with others as well.

Mods - you can unstick now if you want.

                                    Thanks! Todd

I think TIG's roof script is pretty useful and cool.

                                        How about Darrel's (ArchitectBoy's) Skin.rb?
Yes, I know it needs a bit of polishing but what a fantastic script! (BTW where has he been lately?).

I use some of these scripts, Todd - if you need ideas about how to present some extremely cool features of them, let me know. Also, Jonathan emailed me as well.

Of course the makers of the export plugins for the free renderers (Indigo, Kerkythea, POV...) have done a fantastic job too.

drop.rb - it like its hot.
