Bon courage !
Hello,
try to uninstall ALL previous version(s) of VRayForSU that you could have on your PC before trying to install the new one. Then install the new one (make sure you've got the last one, see my signature) selecting the SU2015 folder for install.
It should work !
Thanks for response Valerostudio !
What do you mean by using an alpha map ?
In the exemple above, you suggest to render the only tree and pick up its alpha ?
That's what i do today to work around the problem but it is a work-around and not a problem resolution.
When i have big scenes to render with part of a forest for exemple, that means one more render and that's not really efficient.
Nobody from Chaos to answer ? And what about the first point of my first post ?
Thanks for response !
Hello all,
First of all, why in the V2.XX, VRayForSU assigns material color IDs automatically by default ? I think it was more useful with one ID color (black) by default and manually assigning Color IDs on materials we just wanted to...
I've got an issue with ID materials and transparency :
Here is a test with a tree on a simple grey surface. The tree is a .png file with "Use color as transparency" on, but i tried with .jpg file with a transparency mask with the same result.
The SU view :

The VRay options (click on picture to see gif animation. Some frames seem to be freezed, but not, it is just to have enough time to see settings) :

The VRay materials (click on picture to see gif animation. Some frames seem to be freezed, but not, it is just to have enough time to see settings) :

The Vray Render (click on picture to see gif animation) :

I've tried different settings to solve this problem but no success. Am i doing something wrong or is that an issue ?
I didn't have that problem with V1.49...
Thanks for response !
Salut,
tu as posé la question à Abvent ou Trimble ?
After creating your toon material, did you apply it on objets of your scene ?
@larv said:
...Where in Vray do I add that and where can I find the material?
You open the VRay Material editor, right click on "Scene materials", then Create material/Toon.
Enjoy !
If you want to see edges in your VRay renders, you can also add toon materials (VRay materials) in your scenes.
Thanks for response TIG !
I wrote my feedback too quickly : In the "official" SU2015 plugins folder, i still get the "X minutes to complete" message but i can say NO and in the AdditionalPluginFolder, i can't say NO.
Unfortunately, that not solves the "X minutes to complete" problem itself. Even then the plugin is in the official plugins folder, i've got 2 simple components and i try to spray them on a single short line and still have this message and no process.
For the installation, i've got your last compoSpray_v1.4.2xxx version and as all other plugins, i extract file and folder from the RBZ archive and paste them manually in my AdditionalPluginFolder.
TIG,
with your last version, i've got the same problem as Shape Bender, it works fine when i put the CompoSpray plugin in the C:\Users\XX\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins folder, but it doesn't work when i put it my Fredo6's AdditionalPluginFolder.
I've got that : When you get the warning box that it will take X minutes to complete and you click NO the box doesn't go away and the plugin will not close.
Any suggestion ?
Many thanks TIG !
Works fine now as usual.
Chris Fullmer, if you want to replace this file in your RBZ archives :
Hello all,
i'me using clf_shape_bender_0-6-1_0 (last version on EWH), working fine with SU2015 when saved in the C:\Users\XX\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins but doesn't work when saved in my Fredo6's additionalPluginFolder.
It is not an error when loading the plugin at the start of SU but after selecting my component, when clicking the Shape Bender button, i've got the "Please select a single line that lies on the red axis" message on the bottom of the screen, but the selector arrow turns to white without the little line under and i can't select any line on the red axis ???
I tried to install the TIG's version of the post just above with no more success. I tried to modify the rb file as explained by TIG in this post but i didn't find those lines in the 3 Shape Bender rb files...
Did i miss something ?
Any suggestion ?
Many thanks !
EDIT : I think i've found the lines to be changed in the clf_shape_bender/clf_shape_bender_data.rb file. Lines 106 to 108.
I've changed them from :
line_cursor_path = Sketchup.find_support_file("line_pointer.png", "Plugins/clf_shape_bender/images") curve_cursor_path = Sketchup.find_support_file("curve_pointer.png", "Plugins/clf_shape_bender/images") default_cursor_path = Sketchup.find_support_file("default_pointer.png", "Plugins/clf_shape_bender/images")
to :
line_cursor_path = File.join(File.dirname(__FILE__), "clf_shape_bender/images", "line_pointer.png") curve_cursor_path = File.join(File.dirname(__FILE__), "clf_shape_bender/images", "curve_pointer.png") default_cursor_path = File.join(File.dirname(__FILE__), "clf_shape_bender/images", "default_pointer.png")
Now, the plugin works fine but the selector doesn't change its icon in the different steps of work. It keeps the white arrow all along.
Another little thing to change ?
Box,
what soft are you using for your gif videos ?
That's really great to explain workflow !
Wrong thread !
Sorry. My message here !
Il y a aussi un paramètre d'affichage dans le menu "Affichage" ou "Vue" selon la version de SU, qui te permet ou non d'afficher le reste de ta construction quand tu édites un composant.
