Line2cyl.rb question.
I am new to this script so forgive me if this is elemental.
I selected the entire grid shown and ran the script... nothing.
I hid all faces, lines only shown, selected all and ran the script... nothing.
I selected the center and got the result shown. Are there rules or what not to follow using this script?
Thanks.

RE: Charity Playhouse
That is absolutely fantastic.
Ever since I saw the movie I have wanted to model the courthouse. What a neat building.
Again, exellent work.

Eric,
If you mean you've been to the location - it is a Christian Camp near Red Deer, Alberta - there is a small town called Lacombe about 15 KM outside of Gull Lake - that help?
If you mean you've been there in the stresses - well, tell me about it..!Thanks for the kind comments.
Actually I was eluding to the realism of the video. I felt like I was there. Plus I have been to Camp Sumatanga in Alabama quite a few times. A methodist camp. While it is not as upscale as your project, it felt like I was at camp again.
Good stuff.

RE: Cad extrusion geometry into SU entities
I use the outliner to organize all my models. I don't use layers at all. Maybe I will get shot for saying that but that is just how I do it.
I find it easiest when going from cad to SU to copy my cad file to a new location and then do some major cleanup prior to insertion. I make sure everything is 2D, delete anything unwanted, change all the lines to one layer and one color. I make sure that all connections are made, no small gaps... usually I make polylines so I know if there is a gap. Then I import it to SU and go from there. That way I don't need to discard it later, I just use that data.
The script modelhead was talking about, I think, is makefaces. You select all your lines and run the script. It will fill in the faces without you having to draw lines to finish the face. You can get it here:
http://www.smustard.com/scripts/modelhead, no worries mate.

RE: Cad extrusion geometry into SU entities
Your question is a bit confusing.
You said you brought in a cad image but it needs editing, images cannot be edited in SU.
If you are talking about bringing in cad data (lines) to use for an extrusion then the best way I have found is to make your data a group or component then trace new over top. When you are happy with your profile then discard or hide the cad data component and you are on your way.
Just make sure your imported data is flattened. Otherwise you will run into trouble fast.I hope I have helped however a little more information from you might give us some more insight into the problem.

RE: 2D drafting ruby
I corrected it for you. All you need to do is paste the link in. I think because it was so long when you put the brackets on it did not want to behave.

That is also one of my favorite scripts, but I simply added a shortcut key for it.

You replied about the tubealongpath.rb
What does this ruby do that follow me does not? I did not want to divert the topic.
Thanks. -
RE: Really Really Weird
That was my first thought too Craig. So I looked at it and nope, it is just a plain group. Cuts just like a component and when you move that little line that is indicated weird things start happening... Ooooooo Halloween is here.

Granted but now you can't afford it.
I wish I could remember exactly how to repack all our Christmas decorations in January.

RE: Which Ruby Script Do You Like the Most?
Invader, you might want to read some of the previous posts prior to posting a poll. Check this one out:
http://www.sketchucation.com/community/forums/suc/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19That way you might be able to come up with a better list than that. Plus you have flatten on there twice.
