Just built my dream box... 4xTitans
-
3 780's with water blocks $350 a piece I think. and all in one shot. not each. So $1050 US
-
Thanks ! Still dreaming !

You and me both brother... You and me both.

So does anyone know of any good rendering benchmarks? like that would show what 4 titans can do for our type of rendering?

Is he throwing away the 780's
That is really crazy considering the 780ti is getting better test results than the "X" depending on the configuration.
-
Oh yeah? well we're noticing some odd results too/ got anything to source that to? I'd like to hear more.

FOund this while looking...

No, this is a buddy's build so I didn't want to get too far into installing stuff. Is there a trial for thea and where is this render test?
-
yes free trial and you need a login to access the forum

I only have 2 Titans, and the only real software I have found that takes proper advantage of them is Thea as Oli has already mentioned. Nice rig!!

There is a lot of material and reviews to find on the 780 and the 780ti. Although quite different they are both sleepers. They both seem to hover in the top 5 among all cards no matter what new cards have arrived on the scene. There is a render test built into the Lumion product. My 780 scores 21000 which is in reach of the X or Black which are scoring mid 2000s.
Not a lot of power required either. I have a 650 watt PS only. -

Not a lot of power required either. I have a 650 watt PS only. And there is a 780 that has 6Gb as all Titan cards but X. (the titan Z counts as 2 cards with 6Gb each).
That's why I think having one Titan X is better than having any other GPU in the market.
The 12Gb really count when you try rendering complex models. Since I've bought it, I also easily reached those 12Gb though so that is the real bottleneck for GPU rendering as there is currently no GPU card that I know of with more than 12Gb...
