Podium V2 interior
-
Sorry about the small size - I've not bought a license yet. Not finished yet either, but so far I'm reasonably happy.
I'm seriously considering doing on of them nifty SketchUp Books on rendering (using Podium V2) and postprocessing this scene (using Photoshop, although I may look into Gimp, as it's free). It'll be geared towards beginners - and thus it'll most likely be an excrutiating read to more advanced users. Any interest in something like that? What topics would you like to see covered?
Won't be finished for aeons, though.

hi, couldn't believe that this render was made in podium. nice render
-
A very nice render tom, or stinkie LOL
The exterior view needs some more love. A problem with perspective? -
-
Looks very nice to me.
-
GREAT render
-
Thanks, Scott!

I cant believe that render came from SUpodium V2......at least its 50% post-pro
-
Of course it is. Post-processing is an integral part of rendering, as far as I'm concerned. I'll be explaining what I did in the tutorial, including a an easy and efficient way of exporting selection masks from SU.
-
love to see your workflow explained in a tutorial for SU Podium V2 really like the materials you used and how clean it looks.
-
Not perfect by any means, I know (and I should really recalibrate my screen), but the entire process (rendering + postpro) only took ... 53.5 mins.
-
that's a really good render.
also a really bright sunlight. even for tropical country like we live here -
Hence the need for recalibration.
-
Thats really good, Tom! I wish I could get that sort of quality out of Podium.... I always have trouble with lighting, Sun, etc...
-
You did see the last one's Vray, right?
-
Vray version for fun.

Yeah...? But Podiums lighting is what I have trouble with.
-
Huh? How so? It's pretty easy to set up. Are you using V2?
-
Yep, 2.9... I just find the lighting to be very difficult to get right. Whether to use sunlight or physical sky, etc is a nightmare!!
