Model this: 3D Connexion Space explorer

its not that i don't have respect the the masters or feel slighted in any way i'm just saying if the thread would be something like "Model this: a computer peripheral" then the gurus could have done what they've done here and i could have made an external hardrive for example. fun for the whole family then the best of the bunch could be sent over to the render challenge.
but hey its not my thread.

I've got an idea... a tree. If you see closely, a tree is not a simple push-pull circle and follow-me with hand-made leaves. A tree has a lot of details, so maybe a pic of a quite simple tree, and then you can use monsterzero's technique (I wonder where he go?) or use your own technique

Speaking of the sudden plethora of render this or model that challenges, do we need a separate challenge forum?
Really, there are an awful lot of them lately - not that I mind, I really enjoy seeing everyone's work and I'm disappointed I can't participate as much as I'd like; but it might be nice to keep them all in one place.
Especially if those choosing to pursue modeling a complex shape (such as this controller) continue to post screenshots as mini-tutorials. It'd be a great place to visit to learn how to accomplish more complex modeling in SU.
Also, is there any "official" way to select what model this/render that appears in the forum, or can anybody throw something out there?
Thoughts? (Sorry if a bit OT...)

It would be interesting to see a MOI3D user post a version using Nurbs so we can compare and learn.
Not exactly the same but...

Great video Pilou. Taught me a lot about the capability of Moi and NURBS modeling.
