thanks guyz...i think its more because of the proper treatment of map.. all maps that i have used can be downloaded on my blog... http://www.nomeradona.wordpress.com. nothing really special on the setting. just placing the maps on those slots (speculat, normal map and displacement map.

thanks sid.. the pebbles are combination of using specualr maps, normal map on the bump layer and displacement map on the displacement slot. (vraySU)

ooh first time to see this work of echer.. maybe pilou was refering on this indeed. i have lots of books of him but all about tesselation and morphing and of course his clever use of figure and ground.

first time to see this one.. thanks david for sharing it.

hik kwisten.. yeah remon is correct, jackson has shared a very good solution how to have a nice shadow while using hdri. you knwo this waseven one of our request... yeah by putting a blend map on the enviroment slot (sky + hdri).. by doin this you could solve the shadow problem in just using hdri.

                                thanks pilou for that..

                                  Oh yes, that trick.😄
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work for me using v.1.0.047 (different multiplier values).
Actually it does work, but controlling intensity is nearly impossible.

it does with my 1.5.. i control the intensity of the sky submap.. not the blend map
