For apple lovers

Hi, I more-or-less explained the process here:

Doing a little tutorial is on my to-do list. -
cheers

Thanks, Miguel, and excellent renders - especially michaliszissiou's
-
great renders guys.
i like to grapple with apple.

I've just updated my apples render. There was an issue about reflections, I'm using blurry now. More natural.
Miguel = Michalis in greek lol
Thanks. BTW Miguel now you're ready to buy a mac. Not like pete's iPOD, a big one. Size is not a problem anyway. -
Great looking render Michalis.

Here's a try with maxwell.

mmm apples, great renders guys!!!

Hey brodie, nice render. But IMO apples are not so reflective. I had the same difficulties. Maybe some blurred reflections? Is maxwell fast?
Teofas thanks, you could use my apples in your glorious renders. Or you prefer green ones? -
How's this one strike you?
Is Maxwell fast? Well it's unbiased so it's automatically slow relative to biased renderers out there. I haven't compared it to many other programs but others have called it slow. For small scenes like this though it's quite fast. Speed has never been an issue for me as typically I simply start my final renderings before heading home for the day. I figure my computer's going to just be sitting here anyway so it might as well work. However it looks at 8am the next day is how it turns out.

lol too dull now, almost like a pear.
In between those two lol

Nice to see you back here, Ricardo, and awesome image!

Thanks bro...

Nice renders ricardo!
dof in the first one looks somehow unnatural, both are over saturated. Apples are not an easy theme, remember Cézanne. Easy to model them, difficult to texture -its like a portrait- and you've noticed they need much more faces. -
thanks for the tips
the dof is made in photoshop anything else, is an artistic image, is done so to give a different look -
BTW nice render oli.
