read the manual lol πŸ‘Ώ (I hate manauls too but its only small)

Right click on a target. can be a group or whatever...Click Twilight>Set Camera Target.....then set up your scene(it has to be in this order). Then in your twilight camera settings you will see F-number. It is default set at pinhole (i think). Change this setting....the lower the number the more intense the DOF is....if you go for a high number it is less noticeable. I used F-number 2 for this image. Then just hit render. I used a progressive setting (2800 passes) and seemed to get better effect. it takes a bit longer to render but worth it.In your camera settings you can also chnage the type of tonemapping while it renders....exposure, gamma etc give it a go...i end up with like 5 different versions of the same render hehe

Didn't mean to hijack the thread. It just occurred to me.

It's fine, someone had to say it.

                    Hi Teofas,

I am sure that if You, "the Vray Master" try Twilight, you will do some amazing render as you already done with Vray... πŸ˜‰

I love Podium. I learnt everything I know from this app. The basics of lighting, detail, textures, bumps, specs etc etc. The forum is fantastic and I owe everything to all the people who helped me improve and try harder. I started to look at my work much more critically. People have specifically 'defected' to twilight because it's completely integrated into SU, just like podium.

It gets to a point though where you need more options; more realism, SOFT SHADOWS, real bumps, more control, image based lighting, camera settings, DOF (haha). I started to fake effects in photoshop with my podium renders and I don't think you should have to do this...such as blurring the unrealistically sharp shadows.[edit] which they have fixed in the new update 😍 😍 😍

I bet it's hard for the developers to strike a balance between an easy-to-use program and one with enough 'professional' features. They are listening to us though, there is a wishlist on the podium forum that people constantly update with new ideas.

Future of Podium Version 2? I bet it will be awesome.

But please, this isn't about Podium vs Twilight. It's about DOF and sexy chairs πŸ˜„

My theory on renders......it's the substance that counts......"you cannot polish a turd"
