Digital painting tests

Very nice techniques....i Really like the 3rd image
-
Thanks guys.
Frederik, I used Corel painter, Coreldraw X4 and Autodesk sketckbook pro 2010 in various combinations and layers.
-
That 3rd one looks like Vincent Van Gogh. Dont cut your ear off.
-
Wow, I missed this earlier. These are great.
There is just a hint of "digital" in these but are way better than many examples I have seen in the past.Great work.
-
Solo,
All great stuff. I like the first and the last few the best. I think the second (warehouse?) feels like a photoshopped photo. The impressionist one would be better if it can be less directional in stroke or more blended (in the sky). But they all stand up well IMHO.

Last one needs a RR or Bentley in the foreground.
-
really,really fine work.
-
Love them especially the Impressionist and the Gouche. What can you sell them for?
-
Very nice Pete. I've been wanted to get Painter. You are convincing me again!
-
So your name is Pete. You have a great talent Pete. About Painter, this is a great app. I'm always thinking to use just painted textures in a 3d construction. I mean huge ones. In a way, the opposite of what you are doing here.
-
Maybe you can also try Art Rage!
Ergonomy like the SU Spirite! Eaaaaaasy use in first!
ZEN UI!
It's a very funny prog and for a price very light! 25 $ (click on the image)
-
those are pretty nice. i would say you need some harder edges to clarify a focal point. some of them feel too soft all over, fuzzy all over.
-
Gaganraj, you are correct, they are to fuzzy and lack a focal.
Inspired by Jackson's Barcelona pavillion I thought I'd try another, this time subtly drawing the eye towards the glass panels.
-
excellent concepts pete
There are some programs that do not know use? -
Err, instead of using so many different applications, you could use Piranesi and get it done in thrice, and have more control and choices.
Have you tried the free trial at all?
There is a link to the free trial at the bottom of this page: http://www.entouragearts.com/Piranesi.aspUnfortuneatly you don't get all the brushes and entourage avaialble with the pay version and you can't save any large files and there is a nasty watermark accross the image, but it gives you some ideas.
You can start off with some of the "canned" styles and then Break them down and look at the steps, then you can customize and make it your own.
With your abilities, Pete, you should be able to turn out some really super work. -
love the gouache and water on rough styles pete. Not sure if it is the scene or the style that impresses me more! good work as usual
-
Better and better Pete. Actually I'm a watercolour artist and this is watercolour technic. So if you're in Painter, there is a fine wash tool there, can use it on the edges of shadows, is a common technic is this medium. The real medium in watercolours is the paper.

....nice experiments,SOLO...
