Rogue's W.I.P's!

Yep
I once tried to spin my sketchup render during a presentation. Highly embarrasing.
-
Here is my latest model. It is for FJC's soapbox contest but I dont think it is entirely right for the part.If not I'll upload it as something else.
Modeling time: 2 hours

Here is a model I have worked on for a while. It is based on the new Ford Mondeo and Mazda 6. The wheels are the Rogue D-014(as shown above). I have spent a few hours on it now and its such a nice looking car. Tigre Feroce has finished his version of the same cars, it is the TigreFeroce Lexington:

Here are some screen shots:

Sarcasm: "Looks great Rogue"
Let’s continue. I am working on a Scratch modeling tutorial for cars to go along with my modeling from blueprints one: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=de3c151d9d1209fc5ef6f8ebfad7f16
It is about 40-50% complete at 1-2 hours work. I’ll post it to the 3D Warehouse when done.

Once again I am talking to myself. This forum is dying, just like the warehouse

No, no, no you're not!Keep going - I'm sure that like me, there are many others who think your work is amazing, really awesome.
Zoom, zoom!
-
Well, I can see topics nicely recovering after the crash... (I am just a lurker, you know)
-
Thanks, its just good to actualy have someone comment on a model. I havnt really been getting feedback for weeks so I though my attempt at getting useful viewer feedback were failing. Its really great when someone has something positive to say about my designs and modeling. It helps with design development.
Thanks.
Here is one of the wheels that will be on the options list for my new Rogue Sedan:

In my spare time I got a little more done.

Hey Rogue, Blank here. It's nice to see updates. Even though no one's commenting, they're still viewing "awesomeness under construction". But yeah, feedback's good. It reassures you that someone in this planet cares, lol.
Anyway, keep 'em updates flowing. I'll check regularly and I hope others do too.
-
Thanks Blank. I’m glad people understand that feedback is a key part of design. I noticed a mesh problem with the wheel I just posted...I just fixed it.
There will be no more exterior pics of the Rogue Sedan until I get to the interior and engine details. BTW does anyone have any good images of the Ford I5 Duratec (Volvo engine), 3.0 24 Valve DOHC V6 (from American Fords) and the Duratec 35 3.5 V6 DOHC or any similar engines. I need reference for modeling. Plus any running gear, suspension, gear box, steering, breaks, etc.

I do!
Nice wheels. I'm downloading sketchup 7 right now. I'll be working on my skills for making a tuning wheel. Caus U went far away from me! Damn they look surreal. So good

Your car work is great. I actually follow your threads quite a bit but don't comment....but people are definately listening. Your car tutorial was great. I'm hoping at some point you have the time to get a few more together because they are extremely helpful and your work is awsome.

LOL
Ill add the finished artega -

Also I noticed that you have 10 projects going at once, finish one project before making another

LOL, I have a lot more than ten. It seems I find something else to model and get distracted from what I was already modeling. I have a lot of spare time on my hands at the moment and will get around to finishing some of my more important projects. I am getting my computer upgraded soon so it will be able to handle bigger models faster, meaning faster modeling of higher poly models.
Oh, by the way, thanks all for the good comments. As I suspected there are people following my posts but quietly. Thanks for the support.
I am still going to be some time before I finish any big project but while you wait I will always have little ones along the way to keep you at bay and to prepare for the release of some bigger ones.
Its also nice to see you here FJC....
PS: any one have a clue where to find any pics of those engines I mentioned earlier?

I found an image of 1 on LiveSearch

Or ask someone with a ford S-max to open the hood so you can see it.

Thanks KDSDESIGN (Kevin)
Those sorts of images are ideal. I am also searching for elevation (plan) images that show external detail.
Thanks
