Frederik this is bang out of order. You are are acusing Nomer of cheatting... Come on...

I'm definitely not accusing Nomer for anything...!! 😑
        What is it with you...?!?
        Where am I accusing Normer..??
How can you interpret it this way..??

Like I wrote... These are very nice renders indeed... I also saw Normer's Vray renders of these scenes, so I thought it could be interesting to see some SU outputs of the scene...
        But perhaps that's not allowed...!?!

Regarding the post pro... I acknowledge that post processing is used in many renders, but I really can't agree that it's an integral part of rendering ...!!
I can show you many GREAT renders without any post pro at all...

Besides, it was just a nit picking comment towards the "100% Podium" statement...
        Nothing more than that...!!
Shouldn't be interpreted in any other way than a 100% Podium output is - to my understanding - a 100% Podium output, without any post pro at all...!!

        Cheers

i think its really wording or phrases misunderstanding...
steeler and i knows that were using both podium and vray renderer. so when i say 100% podium (to Steeler) its just mean that im using podium and not vray. having said that with the images above, the first image was indeed a 100% podium output (no postprocess) while the 2nd image, i have added a diffuse glow (thats it).

for the other images, very few tweaks indeed using levels and curves plus suttle glow, which is my favorite.

A lot of people doesnt really realize the power of sketchup interms of texturing and projecting image. this was the technique i actually explored here. so in the end the renderer has just few tweakings to do. Urgen an Jacques (silvershadow) inspires me on this area i guess after studying their models and rendering.

On the other hand, there is one thing i found out with podium here, it always respect the texture you apply in sketchup. vray on the other hand doesnot. sometimes you will realize that the linked texture were already have reflections. or even the link texture has its own blend materials. so i should conclude how podium and sketchup are actually related with each other...

as for frederik, i believe he was indeed talking about the post process thing.. but Sid is right to point out that post processing (tweaking levels) etc are common. even the proessional photographers do that.

Yes it maybe neatpicking, but taking into account your love for Podium (and let's not go there) you should not be surprised with my comment.
Other people convinced me it is the language issue so I will take it like that 😎 . I appologise to Nomer for sidelining his great tread.

Who's implying and accusing something now... πŸ˜’ πŸ˜•

Like I've mentioned before (even to you in a PM) I have absolutely nothing outstanding with Podium... ❗
                Why should I..???

Let's cut the crap and move on here..!!
                You - obviously - see this from a strange angle... I don't..!!
Fine that you apologize to Normer and not to me... 🀒

I agree that it's all about the textures, but very nice done any way... πŸ‘
And the last 2 images are really spectacular..!! 😲
Definitely some of the best I've seen with Podium (no offence intended)...!! πŸ‘ πŸ‘

i actually like the way podium retain the sketchup texture. so projecting images + texture positioning is really great ease.
yeah thanks frederivk for liking those last images. πŸ˜„
