Ray Ochoa- My Car WIPs and final renders
-
Its about a little past midnight, i gotta get some sleep
-
The final STEP YES!!!! RENDERING!!!
Well I'm pretty happy about how it came out. I rendered it in Kerkythea. I hope you like it. It was made with nothing more than the line tool and some plugins -
Any critics welcome
-
you have a lot going on in the final renderings, the text kinda steals away from the "art" of the car...
i like your concepts tho, very cool and futuristic...
by the way, what is the emblem?
-
Ray, you are getting better and better everyday... keep up the good work! I will say the last car you just did (red one) looks too much like the new Honda Accord!
-
Thank you, i used some BMW blueprints not sure about the model name.
I have seen that if you use mostly the line tool to make the shape of the car you will get better results at what your aiming, elisei also makes his cars like this.
BTW wut do you mean by emblem?
-
Model looks great, so do the renders. I think its a good attempt at a sensible car and you modeling is beginning to shows some really promising results
-
Thanks rouge i just started on what was made from modified Nissan Skyline blueprints. Again trying something else than supercars.
-
Woo, thats a nice sports car! I have a few sketches similar to that, based on the skyline design style, its a very nice car.
-
Thanks rouge, i have been requested to make a viper based car but i can not seem to find all the views of the car. If you stumble across some Dodge Viper blueprints let me know

Hay, Ray, feel free to check out my renders post:

My latest work of art

Lovely looking cars you've got there. Any Chance I could have a shot at rendering one of them? I'd enjoy that.
Oh, and I think CADken is talking about the logo/badge you put on the front of your Red Car.
-
sure which one?
-
your cars are really fantastic concepts!!, But may i ask you something about the modeling in SU...
Do you used some subdivide tools for the end result, cause all your renders looks really smooth!
Or do you subdivide it in kerkythea...I think im also going to model some concept cars my own.

Actually no, i used to make my cars low poly and all and then subdivide but now all i really use is the line tool. it gives much better results
-
Oke thank you! Im already trying with the line tool, if you handle it good, it is the best tool
Btw, it is better to design your own cars, as you do, thats more easier...
It works great for me -
i have been using nothing but the line tool after this car http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=1ba8701b705e57f73b48c608d408018a
dont get me wrong though,i still use some esential plugins. like Joint push pull for the lights, Draw on surface, but thats mainly it. i use blueprints to basicly get the shape of the car i want and for it to be proportional
