INSTALL
SketchUp > Extensions > Extension Manager > Install Extension.
Choose this RBZ, then fully restart SketchUp.
The HEC Architecture Suite toolbar appears on first installation.
If hidden, use Extensions > HEC Architecture Suite > Show Toolbar,
or enable HEC Architecture Suite in View > Toolbars.
Drag the toolbar to a SketchUp window edge to dock it.

CONTROL PANEL AND BRANDING
Open Control Panel from the first toolbar button or the Extensions menu.
The separate panel remembers its size and position. Move it beside the right tray.
It is a separate HtmlDialog, not a native Default Tray inspector.
All menus, forms, tooltips, status messages and extension errors are in English.
The author name and email appear at the top of every form and the control panel.
Instagram, TikTok and Facebook links appear at the bottom.
Links open only when clicked. The email link opens your email application.

TOOLBAR BUTTONS
Control Panel / Create Window / Create Door / Create LED Strip /
Edit Window or Door / Edit Selected / Update Openings / Repair Opening /
Tile Creator / Export CSV Takeoff.
Each command has 24px and 32px PNG icons. SVG source icons are included.

EDIT EXISTING WINDOWS AND DOORS
Choose Edit Window / Door - Pick, then click the window or door in the model.
The picker can find HEC objects inside wall groups.
Alternatively, select the component inside its wall group and right-click
Edit Selected Window / Door.
Modify the form and click Apply Changes.
Window options include fixed, sliding and outward casement, dimensions, sill
height, panel count, frame finish, glass and opening percentage.
Door options include inward swing, outward swing, sliding and fixed, dimensions,
frame/leaf finish, hardware style/finish and opening percentage.
0% is closed; 100% is fully open. Fixed types do not move.
Existing instance identity and opening linkage are preserved.
Changing size or sill height repairs the old opening and cuts the new one.
Changing only finishes or mechanism rebuilds the object without recutting the wall.

MOVE AND REPAIR OPENINGS
Open the wall group, select the entire HEC component, and use Move on that wall.
The old front/back caps are sealed and checked before cutting a new opening.
After cutting, old regions outside the new opening are checked again.
Invalid moves are rolled back. Doors stay at their original floor elevation.
For an orphaned rectangular window hole left by an earlier version, choose
Repair Empty Window Opening - Pick and click its INNER REVEAL face.
The repair tool protects openings containing an HEC window or door.
This orphan repair supports closed four-corner window loops, not floor-level
notched door openings.

OPENING LIMITS
Supports flat, parallel front/back wall faces and Move on the same wall.
Cross-wall transfer, rotation/scaling, Ctrl-copy, closing holes on deletion, and
walls regenerated by other extensions are not supported.
Unlock shared walls and use Make Unique before editing.
The floor reference is the clicked wall-face bottom, not a separately detected slab.
The default window sill is 800mm above that reference; doors begin at the base.

LED
Horizontal/Vertical changes the strip surface orientation around its path.
It does not change the path direction. Face mode keeps the selected face plane.
Opacity is separate from target light output. The default strip width is 20mm.
The material has an Emissive name. Set the displayed target luminance in the
renderer material editor; renderer brightness is not written automatically.
No separate IES or Line Light is generated by this package.

VALIDATION
Five Ruby files compiled with CRuby 3.3.
Regression tests execute extension methods using a mock SketchUp API, covering
opening repair/tracking, invalid move rollback, all window/door mechanisms,
full property editing, LED orientation, branded forms, toolbar installation,
command dispatch and allowlisted profile links.
HTML/JavaScript, narrow-panel layout, bundled icons and RBZ integrity are checked.
Real SketchUp geometry, native Windows toolbar docking and renderer output
cannot be tested in this environment.

PAIRED OUTWARD CASEMENTS
Left sash: left jamb hinge. Right sash: right jamb hinge. Both open outward,
in opposite directions, with their handles on the center latch edges.
Four-panel windows repeat left/right pairs. A single sash is left-hinged.
For an existing window, open its editor and click Apply Changes to rebuild it.

TILE CREATOR (25.4)
Open Tile Creator from the toolbar or control panel.
Select one planar face, or use Pick Surface to choose a floor/wall through groups.
The source group must be unlocked and unique. Generated tiles cannot be picked as a source.
Choose a preset (600x1200, 600x600, 300x600, 200x1200 or 100x300mm) or enter custom dimensions.
Patterns: Straight Grid, 1/2 Running Bond, 1/3 Running Bond, Diagonal Grid and Herringbone.
Set real grout width, tile thickness and grout recess (1mm default), layout origin,
extra rotation, offsets, tile/grout colors and an extra order allowance.
Use Preview & Calculate, then Create / Update Tile System.
Reverse Surface Side changes the extrusion direction; 2D mode creates lightweight faces.
Full tiles share component definitions; cut positions use clipped geometry.
Internal openings in the original face mesh remain empty, including through cut tiles.
The original source face is preserved.

MATERIALS
Solid color supports subtle 0-10% shade variation with a reproducible seed.
Existing Model Material reuses a model/renderer material without changing its settings.
My PNG/JPG Texture embeds the image you choose, including your own high-resolution files.
Random texture orientation uses 180-degree turns. Fit one image per tile, or preserve
an existing texture's physical scale. The preview uses solid tile color, not the image.
No commercial textures, PBR libraries or generated 4K images are bundled.

EDITING A TILE SYSTEM
Select the outer Tile System group, then reopen Tile Creator or use its context menu.
Change settings and generate again; the same system is updated in one undo operation.
Custom children outside the generated Tile Geometry group are preserved.
Do not explode the generated hierarchy before editing. Reset externally applied scale
before regenerating; physical sizes are otherwise defined in real millimetres.
The system stores a source surface snapshot. It does not automatically follow later
wall/opening changes. Recreate it from the updated source face if that shape changes.
Maximum: 5000 tile positions per system. Split larger or very dense areas.
Very small edge slivers may fall below SketchUp tolerance; adjust the layout offset.

TILE SCHEDULE
Export Tile Schedule CSV includes nominal dimensions, pattern, thickness, grout/recess,
surface and tile area, gaps, full/cut positions, offcut area and pieces to order.
Order quantity = all occupied tile positions plus the selected extra allowance,
rounded up. It does not optimize reuse of offcuts and is a conservative estimate.
Created tile systems are also included in the suite's general CSV takeoff.

TILE VALIDATION
Executed Ruby tests cover all five patterns at multiple rotations, hole clipping,
independent no-overlap checks for herringbone, boundary cancellation, solid volume,
UV mapping, parent scale compensation, source preservation, shared full-tile definitions,
regeneration and quantity reporting using a mock SketchUp geometry API.
Chromium checks cover five previews, texture/picker/create/export controls, branding,
English labels and 470px/350px layouts. Real SketchUp kernel and renderer testing
remain unavailable in this environment.

V25.5 - STAIR TREAD / FRONT NOSING
Tile Creator retains grout width/recess/color, five laying patterns, PNG/JPG or
existing materials, and 1-50 mm real tile thickness.
For stairs: select one horizontal rectangular tread top without openings.
Enable Extend a rectangular stair tread, choose Front edge 1-4 using the numbered
preview, and set Front overhang (default 40 mm / 4 cm, range 0-150 mm).
Only the selected edge extends. Adjacent side edges continue to the new front;
the rear edge stays fixed. Preview and quantities include this extended area.
Use 3D mode, Reverse disabled. This is a square-edge tile/stone overhang, not a
rounded bullnose, underside drip groove, structural stair or automatic riser.
Each tread is processed separately. The original substrate remains untouched.
Regeneration always uses the original snapshot, so overhang never accumulates.
Older tile systems lack edge snapshots: recreate from the tread face for stairs.

V25.6 - POLYGON TILES, PICKED ORIGIN AND MATCHING SKIRTING
CUSTOM TILE SIZES
Enter tile width/length directly. Grid, running bond, diagonal and herringbone
remain available. New Hexagon / Honeycomb uses real six-sided tile solids.
Width is point-to-point; height is flat-to-flat. For regular hexagons set height
to width * 0.8660254. Other ratios produce stretched hexagons, with a true
constant-width joint. Diagonal Triangle Pair divides a rectangular module into
two triangular tiles; dimensions describe the pair module before joint inset.
The schedule counts individual hexagons or triangles, not bounding rectangles.

FLOORS AND WALLS
Use one planar SketchUp Face. It may have holes or a concave L, reversed L, T,
S-shaped, circular or oval outer outline. Curves follow the model's actual
segments. No smooth outline is invented beyond the face tessellation. Pick
Surface + Start Point picks through unlocked unique groups and anchors the
layout to the clicked point. Rotation and offsets work relative to that anchor;
the orange marker in Preview shows it. Selecting a face directly uses Corner
unless you pick an anchor. Different planes or separate faces are separate
systems. Source edits after creation require recreating from the updated face.

SKIRTING / LED PROFILES
The separate toolbar/menu command opens the same tile system with skirting
turned on, so both share one layout, settings and undo/update operation.
Profiles: Ceramic/Stone Square, Ceramic/Stone Bevelled, Aluminium Flat,
Aluminium Recessed LED Channel. Set height, projection and maximum stock length.
Ceramic reuses the floor material. Aluminium and diffuser have separate colors.
Default maximum piece length 6000 mm preserves floor joint alignment; shorter
stock lengths may require extra joints. With Align enabled, each skirting seam
comes from the clipped floor tile at the visible skirting front. If that entire
line lies inside a parallel grout line, the adjacent tile row supplies seams.
Numbered perimeter edges appear in Preview. Blank = all; enter comma-separated
wall-edge numbers to omit open sides and doorways. Doorways are not detected
automatically. Holes in the floor are preserved but receive no skirting.
Inner/outer corners share miter coordinates; curved outlines follow segmented
mitered runs. Narrow or sharply folded insets are rejected before any geometry
is written. Reduce profile depth or split a problematic surface.
Skirting requires a horizontal front-facing floor, 3D mode and no stair nosing.
Switching it off and updating removes the generated skirting only. Existing
user details outside Tile Geometry are preserved. The CSV includes skirting
pieces/length and LED diffuser length; the global report measures transformed
skirting directions correctly, including nonuniformly scaled instances.
LED mode creates an actual recessed channel and diffuser geometry. The material
has an Emissive name and target nits metadata. Apply emission in the renderer.
It does not create an engine light, an IES source or guaranteed illumination.

VALIDATION
CRuby execution with a mocked SketchUp API covers polygon coverage, physical
areas, grout gaps, pairwise overlap checks, complex outlines, picked origins,
wall/floor geometry, four skirting profiles, inside/outside miters, alignment,
regeneration and quantities. Browser tests cover the live English panel.
Native SketchUp geometry-kernel execution is not available in this environment.

V25.7 - TILE DETAIL, TEXTURE VARIETY AND BOX TAKEOFF
13 PATTERNS
New: 1/4 running bond, double/triple herringbone, 45-degree chevron,
2x2 basket weave and ladder. All patterns use the same mesh clipping, picked
origin, quantities, holes and skirting alignment as the previous release.
Basket weave needs long dimension = 2 x short dimension + grout, e.g. 300 x
603 mm with 3 mm grout. Dimensional variation is disabled for this pattern.
Ladder cuts the last rung when its module height is not an exact multiple;
this piece is counted as a cut and its unused stock appears in the offcut area.

EDGE BEVEL - EDGES TAB
Default 0 mm keeps existing geometry lightweight. Try 0.5 mm and 1 segment for
a flat chamfer, or 3 segments for a rounded profile. Range 0-5 mm, 1-6 segments.
The factory perimeter of each tile is bevelled, including hexagons/chevrons.
Cut edges along room boundaries and internal openings remain square. Bevel
surfaces are clipped to the source triangles, so openings stay open and source
triangulation edges never receive an artificial bevel. Grout is placed below
the bevel base. Bevel operates in 3D only. Extra segments increase face counts.

PIECE AND TEXTURE VARIATION
Random width/length use explicit min/max percentages and deterministic seed.
Tiles sit inside cells reserved for the maximum dimensions, so enlarging a
piece cannot overlap a neighbor. This method intentionally gives variable
joint widths; leave these switches off for precision constant-joint tiling.
Random thickness changes actual solid height. The grout bed remains below the
thinnest tile; matching skirting pieces start at their corresponding tile top.
Solid-color tone variation now supports 0-30%. Existing renderer materials
remain untouched. Texture rotation/scale, seeded start offsets and seeded
scale ranges work on tile face UV coordinates; 180-degree rotation remains
available. Color variation still applies to solid colors, not renderer nodes.

FIVE ENGLISH TABS
Layout / Edges / Skirting / Material / Report. The pick button, preview and
Create/Update controls stay accessible from every tab. All author/social
branding is retained. Report contains named favorites saved in SketchUp
preferences (up to 30), load/delete controls, room name, grouping and boxes.
Favorite image paths and model material names must still exist when reused.

PREVIEW
Preview in Model activates a non-destructive drawing tool, showing up to 1500
tile outlines at their planned surface heights. It adds no model entities.
Esc or Exit Model Preview closes it; closing the dialog also closes preview.
Auto-recalculate is optional and debounced. When model preview is active,
recalculation refreshes it. The panel SVG is a layout preview, not a renderer;
textures and bevel shading appear after geometry creation in SketchUp.

BOX TAKEOFF
Set box area (m2), pieces per box, or both; 0 means unused. The larger box
result is used if both checks are provided. Orders include the requested extra
allowance, assume no reuse of cuts, and use average nominal piece area for
area-based orders with varying sizes. A single box specification is suitable
for one tile product. Mixed products need separate systems/schedules.
CSV includes room, bevel, factory stock area, order area, both box checks,
recommended boxes and nominal bounding size groups at the selected tolerance.

VALIDATION
Existing regression suite plus new coverage/pairwise non-overlap checks for
all new patterns, variation bounds/repeatability, analytical chamfered solid
volume, rounded bevels with holes, real polygon creator/update calls, native
favorites callbacks and model-preview lifecycle. Browser QA verifies all 13
patterns, five tabs at 350/470 px, box/UV/bevel controls, favorites, debounced
preview and creation/export actions. SketchUp's native geometry kernel is not
available here; these are CRuby tests with mocked SketchUp API plus browser QA.
